At the career pavilion at the 2011 Game Developers Conference, Dice caught up with Michelle Larson, recruiter for Game On! Recruiting, who also provides job hunting tips through her Twitter handle @MistressMousey. We asked her to give us her top three tips, especially for gamers. She advised: • Network, network, network — Sincerely pitch your specific game talent. • Take time to build your portfolio — Showcase it well, online. Don’t just bombard hiring managers with lots of images and information. • Play games — If you know the industry, then you can market yourself a lot better.
