They are running the right way. This game is made in Japan and they use the tracks and races to design the direction. Most races are clockwise as seen here not counter. When the tracks are in the US, for the game, they usually go counterclockwise. It’s a great game, but I prefer the breeding option of the Gallop Racer 2004
