    I love Dead Space but as far as new IP is concerned, I will take Mass Effect as my favourite one.

    yeah but after going through tens rooms and having the same thing happen, the novelty of the scare kinda rubs off and you become desensitized to it

    And it is not a cheap way to add horror into a game. Good jump scares are hard to make, and those that are good make you expecting the other one, making you paranoid.

    Please PLEASE jim, I love you but for the love of god don’t promote jump scares. it’s a cheap way to add horror into a game. I’m startled by these games, not genuinely scared. the only time I actually was scared was when the Ubermorph chased you in both games and gave you a feeling of being powerless, the way a survival horror game should make you feel.
