I was mistaken, the player I was matched with was in fact playing the PC version. Derp derp.

As the previous commenter said, Trilogy wasn’t an arcade game (derp). And MK and MKII are dated as hell, but any Mortal Kombat player knows the pace of the older ones. I didn’t have the framerate issues that are apparent on your vid, and I got into my first match (against an Xbox 360 owner) within a few seconds of searching the “Friendly Match” option.

Yeah, the resolution sucks, and the 360 d-pad gargles balls, but the game does what it does just fine. Get an arcade stick and you’ll be set.

the reason mk trilogy wasn’t a part of it because trilogy was never a arcade game

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one with the problem with the framerate. I didn’t have much of a problem, but I realized that when I paused the game the framerate dropped until I went back to the main menu. So I’m glad I’m not the only one, and it wasn’t just my laptop.
