What to Expect From Nintendo’s E3 Conference

alexander June 5, 2012 Comments Off on What to Expect From Nintendo’s E3 Conference

Every year’s E3 has high expectations, but with a new console expected to release this year, the bar is set high and anticipation is higher. Nintendo is set to unveil more of their Nintendo Wii-U this E3 after giving us a glimpse of it last year. The release date is expected to be late this year, so the details we receive at this gaming conference should be plentiful and enough to build anticipation and draw some sales for the company seeking to redeem itself after a poor showing in 2011.

Nintendo has a history of keeping secrets up until the very last moment, but after the highly unsuccessful Nintendo 3DS launch, it can be expected that Nintendo will be more than willing to give conference goers, its fan base, gamers and the media just what they are looking for – information. So far we know from last year’s tease that the console will have a tablet like controller that can stream footage from the television and allow brand new levels of connectivity that has not been seen on a console before.

This year we have already seen a few additions such as the second controller option and a few gaming exclusives including the ZombiU from Ubisoft, but it will take more than a game trailer and a controller to sell this console to a new generation of gamers, parents that thought they had just purchased the latest technology to find that it is now outdated and to convince the market that it will not be a repeat from Nintendo’s dismal 3DS launch.

Because of the market’s crave for information and its desire to not be a victim of being an early adopter once again, it can be expected that Nintendo will release as much information as they can to the public at this year’s 2012 E3 conference. Expect gaming demos, hands on time with the new technology, demonstrations, new game videos and plenty of opportunities to see what can be purchased this coming Fall or Winter.
