Someone should do a Transformers game where the Autobots and Decepticons fight each other automatically rather than you directly controlling them. That way, you can be a normal guy like Sam or one of the N.E.S.T. squad and collaborate with / delegate actions to them in dynamic battles, with multiple / optional do-in-any-order objectives.
This way they would really seem to tower over the player in scale when in robot form, or drive around a wrecked city in cockpit view. Also wing-suits!
