Jeremiah Slaczka, chief executive officer (CEO) of 5th Cell, the developer of Scribblenauts stated that when it comes to the aspect of power, Wii U is far more powerful compared to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 260 video game consoles. Slaczka added that the arguments on the capabilities of the video game consoles are quite frustrating.

Slaczka has spoken in Game Informer’s latest issue and stated that Wii U video game console is more powerful compared to the two consoles and that it is kind of frustrates him to see some speculations and rumors of some people on the web saying which if this generation’s consoles are more powerful or weak. He added that Wii u is definitely the more powerful hardware that PS3 ad Xbox 360.

At present, 5th Cell which Slaczka is the CEO is developing Scribblenauts Unlimited, a Wii U exclusive title and the fourth video game in the puzzle action genre that is word based. He continued that they are the first video game developer to see how power Wii U is.

Slaczka also mentioned that Nintendo had come to their studio in order to demonstrate the capabilities of their Wii U video game console to them. Few weeks after the meeting, Warner Bros., had seen the capacity of the new hardware and he ushered that they should do on developing the game. Sbribblenauts Unlimited is an original game for the Wii but it was later moved by the company to the new video game console Wii U. The development of the game will take about two years.

Lots of video games developers out there don’t seem to see for themselves how powerful the upcoming video game console from Nintendo. There is a reports published on July 12 where Katsuhiro Hara, producer of the Tekken games series stated that the clock of the Wii U is kind of slow and the central processing unit (CPU) of the Nintendo console is somewhat slower compared to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

At present, Harada is porting the arcade fighter video game Tekken Tag Tournament II to the hardware of Nintendo. The debate regarding the power of Nintendo’s Wii U video game console has now raged for about months. The views of the people about it are somewhat conflicting, from publishers to the developers.

One video game developer who has spoken with GamesIndustry.biz mentioned that Wii U is not of same level compared to the PLaystation 3 and Xbox 360 as it does not produce graphics like that of the two consoles. Another developer also commented that the Nintendo hardware doesn’t contain many shaders and it is not that capable compared to the two consoles.

Maybe, just like other people out there, you don’t know who you will believe.

Mark Rein of Epic Games also made a statement that they are not that going to bring the Unreal Engine IV to Wii U. He continued that licensees could actually port UE4 video game to operate on the Nintendo console. Unreal Engine III which is used by lots ofPS3 and Xbox 360 titles is a good fit to the platform, Rein added.
