It is no doubt that PlayStation Vita has a lot of potential, but it is now being bogged by many issues and all them stem from Sony itself. The problem is not concerned about the hardware of the video game console, as it is a gorgeous piece of gaming system. It is not also the expenses of owning one though PlayStation Vita is very expensive, despite the capabilities of the handheld video game console.

The biggest problem concerning the PS Vita nowadays is their presence. Where are these handhelds now? It is a fact that games are the one responsible for game systems to sell and not the software features or hardware capabilities. A good example of this is when PS3 was released, a lot of gamers have avoided purchasing the handheld because there are no worthwhile games in it and therefore, they didn’t buy it until successful games are released on the PS3. But when 2009 came, almost everyone wants to own a PS3 due to the presence of library of games in the handheld, both exclusive and multiplatform titles that are enjoyable to play. A lot of individuals wanted to own a PS3 due to the video games that it contains which are really amazing and excellent ones. Nowadays, even the PlayStation Vita was released, a lot of people still prefer to own a PS3 with its bigger and varied library of games.

Now that the PlayStation Vita was released, it is facing all the problems that PS3 had during the initial days that it was released, but worse actually. The problems of this handheld are very obvious. One of them is the price which is very expensive when the costs of games as well as the memory sticks are included. The expensiveness of the video game console is okay as long as it has a library of games that are playable. But right now, the PS Vita doesn’t have the video games library.

Most of the games included in the Vita at the moment are playable on big screens. Whether its ports such as the Metal Gear Solid Collection, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, as well as the new installments of big video game series like Unchartered: Golden Abyss and Resistance: Burning Skies. It doesn’t mean that these video games are bad, but once you played them on the HDTV or you played it at the Vita, you will see which of the two options is better when it comes to relaxation.

Aside from the current software used in the Vita, the software lineup in the future is also a thing to consider. Sony will promote the crossplay between the PS3 and the Vita extensively. Most of those video games that are exclusive for the PS3 will now have ports for the PS Vita. You can play your saved game on PS3 in the PS Vita. What the PS Vita has at the moment are decent, but it will not entice gamers to purchase the Vita and left as secondary offerings. The PS Vita has a lot of potentials and Sony should not let it be wasted.
