Just like the TV and movies, video game is also a form of simple and plain entertainment. However, there are ongoing debates concerning the sexism in a lot of games and that they promote unhealthy attitudes and stereotypes. Many games developed today represent women as merely helpless damsels in distress or sex objects.

Though some things are developed against this misrepresentation of women, still, lots of video games of this generation have provoked the sexism debate. Here are five of the most sexist games in this generation.

Lollipop Chainsaw

You can admit that zombies and chainsaws are awesome in a video game, but you probably bought Lollipop Chainsaw because of Juliet. A cheerleader equipped with a chainsaw and kills zombies is really appealing, but the ridiculous underlying the stereotype representation with Juliet is difficult to deny. The costumes of Juliet are hyper-feminized and overly sexualized, she has ditzy mannerisms and the suggestive poses will distract you while playing the game.

Duke Nukem Forever

This video game has lost all its charm and love of the fans with its outdated engine, unbalanced and horrible gameplay and of course, the attempted sexism. The character of Duke is funny but you will notice that the video game treats him and the female characters in a crude manner. There is a strip club-scene in this game where it advertises for a tampon night and slappable wall of boobs only show how intense sexism is in this video game. Male objectification is what the character of Duke represents with bulging muscles, concerned and obsessed with sex.

Bayonetta

If you have already played or seen its titular character, you will notice right away that Bayonetta is geared toward sexism. Bayonetta is depicted as the typical anatomically disproportionate, unrealistically curvy, ultra-sex and flaunts sexuality as power. When you play this video game, you will notice that combat moves of Bayonetta are posed in sexually suggestive positions. Bayonetta has an intriguing storyline with the inclusion of fantastic modern setting, angels and amnesia. You will constantly see boobs and butts when playing this game, reminding you of a sexist game.

Dear or Alive: Extreme Beach Volley II

This video game will show you bouncing mammary which is hilariously baffling. The video game put the whole female characters to an island where they have to play volleyball, wearing tight swimwear and little bikinis for the viewing pleasure of the players. Characterization and storyline is absent in Extreme Beach Volley II, just pure virtual girls in sexy costumes. The engine of this video game has a complex and dedicates physics for the breast of every female character. This only makes the game pointless, aside for those gamers who want to compete volleyball with their favorite female fighters in the DoA.

Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad

Though this game is completely understandable and awesome fun, what makes it intriguing is that the women characters only wears underwear and bikinis while they are killing zombies. This video game is probably the worst exclusive game for the Xbox 360, as it facilitates the outdated and immature depiction of women.
