You may not have put the files in the right location. Doublecheck your work.
I’m not particularly sure if there is an upper limit to the size of drive you can use. I’d just give it a shot to see what happens, and if you get hung up somewhere, make a note of where you got hung up and check in on the XBMC community forums at the link in the description. See what the people there have to say as they probably have more experience with larger hard drives in the Xbox than I do.
