I agree that Ubisoft abandoned POP for Assassin’s Creed. I always prefered POP though because the platforming felt more real. In Assassins Creed all you do is hold the right trigger and go, it does it all for you. POP always felt less on auto and more challenging, thus rewarding.
No offense too any PoP fan, but Ubisoft kinda left PoP behind and Assassin’s Creed is taking over (Note: I like both, but I prefer AC, but It dosnet mean they should ditch PoP imo)
