Blender 2.5 Game Engine Controlling a Simple Rig (Google Android) Using Logic Bricks (Old Version)

admin January 28, 2013 25

This tutorial shows how to interactively control a very simple character rig using the Blender game engine. Key points – Saving short animations as actions eg a simple walk cycle Using a logic brick keyboard sensor to detect a key press Using a logic brick actuator to play an action eg walk cycle Linking them so a key press runs the walk cycle Linking the same key press to a motion actuator Creating a default, standing still action For a more advanced tutorial on controlling an armature rig go to blendercookie.com

It seems that armature modifier doesn’t work with game engine, you have to remove it and parent armature into mesh.

    Doesn’t work for me either.
I cant use action on armature, but if i set motion +y on mesh for same up arrow, it does move.

yea it was my fault, i sat the move button to the mesh instead of the armature, it works now :) and very good tutorial btw, exactly what i needed, subscribed 😀

I would try from the start again, I have been using this tutorial with students and it has been working.
